Week 2 of the UFL season delivered another round of exciting games, with close finishes, surprising upsets, and stellar individual performances. Let's dive into the action:

Game Recap

Brahmas (20) vs Showboats (19)

In a rematch of the UFL's opening exhibition game, the Brahmas edged out the Showboats in a nail-biter. The game went down to the wire, with a missed field goal by the Showboats as time expired sealing their fate. Quarterback Chase Garbers continued his strong play for the Brahmas, but it was the Showboats' defense that kept them in the game. Former Utah standout Kyle Whittingham had a monster game with nine tackles and a key interception.

Renegades (24) vs BattleHawks (27)

The St. Louis Battlehawks overcame a slow start to defeat the Arlington Renegades in a thrilling back-and-forth contest. The Renegades led for most of the game, but the Battlehawks rallied in the fourth quarter. A clutch touchdown pass from veteran quarterback AJ McCarron with under two minutes remaining put them ahead for good.

Stallions (20) vs Panthers (13)

The Birmingham Stallions continued their undefeated streak with a convincing win over the Michigan Panthers. The Stallions' dominant running game was on display again, controlling the clock and keeping the Panthers' offense off the field. Despite a valiant effort from former BYU running back Austin Ward, the Panthers couldn't overcome the Stallions' physicality.

Roughnecks (18) vs Defenders (23)

The Beer Snake was back and helped in a surprising turn of events, the D.C. Defenders pulled off an upset victory over the Houston Roughnecks. The game was a defensive struggle throughout, with both offenses failing to find a consistent rhythm. The Defenders' defense stepped up in the second half, forcing turnovers and shutting down the Roughnecks' running attack.
