Welcome to the first week of our XFL weekly recap, breaking down all 4 games and giving you an idea of how great this league is.

Recap

Game 1 - Vipers vs Renegades

The first game was not a disappointment. The opening quarter got off to a rough start with both offenses, this is as expected because this is the first time they have played together. The renegades struggled to find the end zone but the defense lit it up late in the game with two pix six giving them the win 22 to 20. Don't count out the Vipers, their defense did a great job keeping Renegads from scoring a touchdown.

Final Score: Vipers (20) Renegades (22)

Game 2 - Guardians vs Roughnecks

The Roughnecks brought the offense as the highest scoring in week 1. QB Brandon Silvers was the most impressive QB I saw this week putting up points about every drive.

Game 3 - Battlehawks vs Brahmas

Brahmas control a majority of the game giving the Battlehawks no momentum. As we head into the 4th quarter Brahmas is up 6 to 3 then the XFL rules took effect. The XFL rules are a little different than the NFL and we got to see it impact the game in the 4th quarter. If you are trailing or tied in the 4th quarter you can do an onside kick (NFL) or a new fun entertaining way by going for a 4th & 15 at your own 25-yard line (Full XFL Rules here). Battlehawks when for 4th & 15 and got it and continue moving the ball down to score a touchdown to win the game.

Game 4 - Sea Dragons vs Defenders

If the first 3 games weren't exciting for you, this one would have you not looking away from the TV even for a second. The Defenders fans were crazy cheering from building a beer snake to throwing lemons on the field. The fans control the game and help boost Defenders defense giving them a big stop late in the game and giving them the gaming winning drive.

Game of the Week

From what we saw in week 1 Roughnecks has one of the best offenses in the league going against the Renegades defense that had a clutch stop Saturday to win.
